ALL-AMERICAN 10-1/2-QUART PRESSURE COOKER/CANNER
We will start with the smallest pressure canner that All American makes. But don’t let the size of this small pressure canner fool you. It may not be able to do as much product as larger pressure canners but the product it does make is the same high quality as any larger pressure canner that is made.
It is solidly built, to say the least too. It has a hard aluminum finish that will help this pressure canner hold up under some pretty extreme heat for a long period. It even looks great with its satin steel finish. The gauge on it is placed where it’s easy to read, and the screw handles tighten and loosen on and off with little effort.
It can still make a generous amount of product with its 10 ½ quart size too. It can do 4-quart size jars of product or 7-pint sized jars. That is why it is a great starter canner or if you only can a small amount of fruits or vegetables during the season.
You really cannot go wrong with purchasing this model pressure canner. The best thing about it is that its size also makes it ideal for pressure cooking small sized meals fast. That is something that is much harder to do in larger size pressure cookers.
ALL-AMERICAN 15-1/2-QUART PRESSURE COOKER/CANNER
You will notice that all the All American pressure canners we will review here look very similar. The philosophy All-American has is why mess with what works. This is a time-tested pressure cooker/canner design that does the job well.
Now we are stepping it up in size a little bit. As we go up in size, the people that are looking at each model are most likely more hardcore canners. The bigger the pressure canner the more product you can make at once with it. This 15 ½ quart size pressure canner will make a decent amount of canned food product, yet it’s still small enough to be a versatile pressure cooker too. You can cook 7-quart sized jars of product with it or 10-pint sized jars. That is enough to fill your store room shelves with canned jams, jellies, fruits or vegetables in no time.
It is made with the same sturdy cast aluminum construction as the smaller model. Cast aluminum is well known for heating up faster and passing that heat through its walls and into the center of the canner where it works the best. It also features two built-in automatic vents and several adjustable pressure regulator weights.
This pressure canner will undoubtedly leave anyone who purchases it feeling very satisfied after they use it a few times.
ALL AMERICAN 921 21-1/2-QUART PRESSURE COOKER/CANNER
As we once again step up in size, we also step up in quality, capacity, and features. After all, that type of metal is what makes a pressure canner able to handle high heat and cook efficiently. Parts such as the lid screws, pressure gauge, and handle are also built to stay cool and last a long time.
With the increase in size of these pressure cooking and canning devices, you are also starting to get into cooking apparatus that are much better suited for canning only. A 23 ½ court pressure canner is not something that the casual pressure canner will probably be interested in purchasing. These canners are made for the person that takes the preparation of their jars of fruits and vegetables very seriously.
A large pressure cooker is made to handle a very high volume of canning in a very short amount of time. Sandra says
I’m having trouble understanding the benefits of a 25 quart pressure canner over the 21.5 quart canner. Because of the extra height can I get 7 quart jars in it and then some pint jars on top of the quarts or is the amount of jars the same for both of them?
